Q&A with a buffet: Dr. Diana Greene chats with community at Breakfast Learning Series

Oct. 17, 2018 - School safety and the district's record-high graduation rate were among several topics Superintendent Dr. Diana Greene discussed with parents, students and community members on Wednesday morning as part of an ongoing Breakfast Learning Series.


Hosted at Edward Water's College, this series of workshops is presented by Family Support Services of North Florida through the district's Parent Academy and feature a special guest speaker and complimentary continental breakfast for guests to enjoy.


In addition to school safety, Dr. Greene also spoke about:

  • The district's continuously graduation rate, which is currently at 81 percent.

  • New initiatives that are expanding mental health services for students.

  • Community member involvement in the Parent Academy.

Dr. Greene's overall message to the attendees of this morning's meeting stressed that as a community, we must come together and decide how to create a better public school system.
