Nov. 13, 2018 - Meet Kristy Mincey, a kindergarten and first-grade Communication and Social Skills (CSS) and general education teacher at Bayview Elementary.
The Communications and Social Skills Program is offered to students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and related disabilities.
Ms. Mincey, like the program, is committed to recognizing the wide range of educational needs for students with ASD and related disabilities in order to provide them each with an individualized program.
"I work with these students because I feel like I need them, just like they need me," said Mincey. "Everyday, it’s something new with them. And just like I teach them, they teach me as well."
